Description
Have you ever collected shells by the shore? A casual jaunt down the beach might have landed you amidst a gorgeous variety of shells, some in marvellous hues of peachy-orange, others with elaborate designs and patterns, distinctive shapes or striking spikes. Each trying to attract you with their uniqueness. Do we love them equally?
Not at all…we have our favourites, but that doesn’t take away the importance of the rest! I feel that there is a remarkable similarity between these shells and various human emotions. Happiness, confidence, grief, disappointment—all given to us in a shore called life… some of them are our favourites, while others cling to us like leeches, despite facing strong repulsion from us.
If the happy emotions surge a streak of dopamine in us, the unpopular ones are the true mentors. They make us what we become.
