“You will notice that people choose their industries because they may be passionate about their dreams. People struggle to land roles in Bollywood but they still keep trying because acting may be their passion. Someone may open a restaurant because of their passion for food. People sometimes leave their jobs and start writing books. Can IT industry be a passion? IT is not about technology as it’s always portrayed. It’s about people and their lives.”

“So, will you promise to share your story and the stories of people that you met during all these years?” he asked.

“I will surely do so. I will share my story and stories of people I met on the way. These stories have a lot of human emotions that people outside the IT industry cannot imagine. Besides off-shore, robotics and technology, there’s romance, heartbreaks and betrayals in these stories. Some stories have happy endings while some don’t.” I sounded like a Bollywood script writer.

Satish Badgi worked in the Information Technology consulting business for few decades. After completing master’s degree from Indian Institute of Science, he worked for leading IT consulting organisations in India and abroad. From mainframes to cloud computing, from telex to texts and from rotary phones to smart phones- he has witnessed the growth and evolution in this industry. He has published number of books in the field of HR technology and this is his first fiction book.
