Dear Cancer Glad to Beat You Twice

This is the storyline narrated by author about his sustained fight with cancer; not once but twice, firstly at the age of 63 and then at 75 years. The second assault, after a lull of over a decade, was recurrence of colon cancer, accompanied by couple of tumor-nodes, lodged in and around his prostate. The author did not lose hope and resolved to fight and fight it well. Equipped by strong will power, rock-solid family support and a good team of doctors he gathered courage to stare straight in to bullying eyes of cancer and did not blink. The first battle, in 2007, was won by surgical procedure but the second one, in 2018, involved intricate procedures like surgery, hormonal treatment, chemotherapy and radiotherapy; that lasted for over a year. Finally the author defeated cancer and emerged as victor.
