“The very power and wealth which had been used to manipulate certain things, so many years ago, and cause humiliation would now become a part of his daughter’s life. He could use his daughter as a trade-off and not only bask, but also make use of the borrowed glory and power for his own ends.”
Avinash was fully alert now, “But, why would he feel that his daughter would be useful?” Riddhi replied simply, “Because his daughter would say so.”
Avinash and Riddhi are suffering because of what has happened twenty-five years ago. With skillful manipulation of words and situations, they are able to convince their respective families of the undying love of the other. They convince their families that the other is ‘besotted’ and could be of use to either exact revenge or create potential business opportunities. The families are swayed by the illusion that Riddhi and Avinash are able to create – of the other being ‘besotted’.
